Introduction
Mica powder (Muscovite) is a common mineral powder, it has features of good sliding properties, strong coverage, high adhesion, and is very light, not easy to grade size by a normal vibrating screen. Mica Powder Screening Requirements by the client
The fineness of mica powder varies according to different uses and is generally divided into four grades: coarse, medium, fine, and ultra-fine. Mica powder of 8 to 12 mesh is mostly used in roofing materials such as linoleum and is also used for cable wrapping and similar purposes. Mica powder of 40 to 60 mesh is used in the coating of welding rods. Mica powder of 60 to 120 mesh is the basic raw material for the production of mica ceramics. Mica powder of 100 mesh or finer is used as an admixture for paint, a filler for rubber, a covering agent and a lubricant, and a filler for plastics. Ultra-fine mica powder of 200 mesh and below 325 mesh is used as the matrix of titanium mica pearlescent pigments.
